Depth oriented psychotherapy in Evanston, IL

Living a more vital life is possible.

Perhaps you’ve found yourself overwhelmed by symptoms that are disrupting your ability to live life fully. These symptoms can include: anxiety, depression, burnout, repeated relationship patterns, low self esteem, suicidal ideation, disordered eating, substance use, etc.

Together, we will listen for the ways these symptoms have been intelligent defenses and adaptations to experiences of danger and neglect. As we gain appreciation for these symptom’s aim and their origins, we can work to restore your natural capacity to think, heal, and grow.

I feel honored to make lasting therapeutic relationships with people in which they can truly come alive. I practice relational psychoanalytic psychotherapy, where people heal from, and through, relationships. I know firsthand that it is possible to give voice to what has felt unspeakable and to live a life that feels meaningful.

Hi, I’m Maranda.

Our Process

  • Schedule a Consultation

We will spend 15 minutes discussing what your hopes and goals are for treatment, as well as attending to any questions you might have about logistics and the therapeutic process.

  • Initial Session

Our initial session will be oriented around you and where you feel it is important to begin. This will give us an opportunity to see what it feels like to sit together and to begin to develop our connection.

  • Feel out the connection

A good fit between us is the most important element of a successful treatment. In our first few sessions, I encourage you to trust your instincts about what feels right for you.

If you find yourself compelled by what I’ve written, I would love to hear from you.
